My favourite place in the whole of Singapore! Mr Shi is now 86 years old and still makes the Kopi and the toast, they still have the biscuit jars from way back on the shelves, its almost a fragment of Singapores history frozen in time.
Mr Shi son now helps out and explained they were offered many times to sell or update but he refused every time, which in a city that’s changing at such a rapid pace, is testament to him.
Grab a cup of Kopi Gyu you (butter is served with a toothpick on top for 10p) and sit in this little oasis and watch the old world and the new blend together in a shophouse where time stands still
